You’ll find lots of great places to explore in the surrounding countryside.
My wife myself and my son took advantage of a Sunday night break at Alvaston hall recently we had an absolutely fantastic time, the staff at Alvaston hall again surpassed all expectations. The entertainment team again were fantastic they delivered a truly professional show comparable to any west end show we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The food and accommodation again was superb we are looking forward to our next visit.
We were fortunate in being allocated a Royale room having asked our coach operator Edwards to request a walk-in shower and Royal the room was with an enormous bed a bathroom with walk-in shower and roll top bath. The lounge was almost bigger than the footprint of our bungalow.
The care shown by all the staff throughout the hotel complex was without comparison. Serving staff were attentive and responsive.
The nightly entertainment was varied and the backup provided by the hotel staff was London Theatre standard.
All in all a splendid experience.
We got a Black Friday Deal and was very pleased with what we got for the price we paid.
This was a lovely venue, the staff were very helpful and friendly.
This is a great BREAK AWAY where you have so much in one place, Good Food, Good Entertainment and variety of activities.
This stunning Venue had a grand entrance, with stairs leading to our room. Our room was clean and suitable, replenished daily. Only issue was we were woken by the delivery vans in the early morning.
The entertainment was great from the resident band The Black Jacks, which had two fabulous female singers to the other variety of entertainment each evening in the Grove (mostly entertainers from shows like Britain's got talent and the X-Factor)
The resident entertainment staff the All Stars were very interactive with the guests and the Comperes were engaging.
It was so good to see the Sequence and line dancing done by other guests and sad to think that there were not more younger people there learning these wonderful dances, as soon it may be lost to the younger generations.
The food was fabulous with a variety of Starters, Mains and desserts at dinner and wonderful variety for breakfast. After dinner it was good to break out into different rooms for about half hour to do different activities, Bingo, Quizzes, games of snooker (sadly you had to pay to play pool) etc, whilst your food would go down.
There was plenty to do in the day if you wanted to stay on the grounds, from Rifle shooting to bowls, gym, fitness classes, hair stylists/beauty therapy, swimming and even golf (but the golf you had to pay for). But if you wanted to venture out you could catch a train to Chester, Shrewsbury and even a 35 min walk to Nantwitch town centre, all were beautiful to see.
This is my second time at a Warner's Venue and I would recommend it.
