Had a 4 night break at Alvaston Hall to celebrate our friends golden wedding anniversary. Our friends had been to Alvaston before but we had not, as this hotel being a caberet diner which we were not keen on having had a bad experience at Lakeside. Having said that we were pleasantly surprised and had an enjoyable stay, still not sure about caberet diners, as if you wanted to start your meal later, you may not finish your meal as the entertainment starts at 8.15 .
The entertainment was first class, tribute to Rod Stewart, Steve Taylor first class, played 60's music . The resident entertainment team excellent especially with the musicals. The resident band The Blackjacks are superb great variety of music and songs.
The staff are polite, friendly and helpful which makes the holiday all the more enjoyable. The grounds are small but well maintained.
Although we have been to quite a few Warner Hotels this was our first visit to Alvaston Hall. On arrival we were made very welcome. All members of staff are extremely helpful and friendly and go that extra mile to make our stay memorable. Our room was a Standard room which was very comfortable with all amenities. All food was well prepared and a very varied menu to suit all tastes. I think this could be one of the best Warner Hotels we have stayed in and would have no hesitation to recommend it to anyone wishing to stay.
Our 8th stay at a Warners, a party of 8 friends we always stay at a Warners, great staff, great selection of meals, lovely gardens, but the entertainment spoilt by the worst act we have ever seen at a Warners, my advice to ROD STEWART find a day job terrible, he manager should take note.
This was our first visit to a Warners Hotel and it couldn't be faulted. Our standard room in The Limes was lovely and quiet too. The staff at Alvaston are friendly and helpful - gold star to our server Sam. Perhaps most of all the band on Saturday night really made our stay memorable - James Franklyn and the Sound Machine - great music and we danced all night. Here's to the next time.
